The Division of Research's mission is to conduct, publish, and disseminate high-quality epidemiologic and health services research that improves the health and health care of Kaiser Permanente members and society at large. It seeks to understand the determinants of illness and well-being, and to improve the quality and cost-effectiveness of health care. To accomplish these goals, the DOR is committed to providing a supportive research environment that fosters independent thinking, creativity, continued learning, and adherence to the highest scientific standards.
